Serve Your City: Assemble Hygiene / Period Kits for the Women of Rose Haven

Join PSU's Student Community Engagement Center to volunteer your time and energies to help one of our community partners on a "Serve Your City" project!

Come create hygiene and period kits for Rose Haven, a day shelter and community center for women, children and gender non-conforming folks. This is an opportunity for volunteers to explore  social justice issues regarding menstruation, houselessness, and access to basic vital resources, while creating hygiene kits to help those who need it most. 

Please bring extra items to help complete the kits if you can! Suggested items: menstrual products, travel sized toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, bodywash, hand sanitizer and more. 

Even if you cannot attend the project, feel free to drop off hygiene item donations at the Student Community Engagement Center (SMSU mezzanine 113c) or at the SALP front desk (SMSU 119) leading up to the project. 

This project is open to all Portland State University students through the Student Community Engagement Center's #serveyourcityserveyourcampus program and coordinated by Student Leaders for Service.
