About

The Nonprofit Development and Event Specialist role will provide an opportunity to gain experience in and familiarity in a broad range of areas such as fundraising, philanthropy, community engagement, urban education, children's issues, youth development and the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization with a community impact.  

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to 

  • Proposing fundraising and donor cultivation events 

  • Coordinating and supporting special events for donors and community partners (may include some Saturdays and late evenings) 

  • Preparing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and donation requests 

  • Conducting research and updating grant and donation opportunities 

  • Managing grant and donor reporting deadlines 

  • Researching best practices and trends for youth development programs  

  • Learning data-entry and administration for RE's Salesforce Customer Relationship Management database for donor management 

  • Providing support for day-to-day operations 

  • Engaging with students as mentor, tutor and role model

Requirement Details
Qualifications include but are not limited to Bonner or Adams Scholars with at least two years of RE service or individuals with two school years of volunteer service at RE and a commitment of at least 8 hours per week and one day of afternoon availability.
