SE Vancouver community tree planting with Friends of Trees!

Saturday, November 9th, 2019 from 12:30pm to 4:00pm (PT)

About

Let's plant trees together in SE Vancouver! Dozens of large (6-10' tall) trees will be ready for planting in their new homes across these neighborhoods, and your help is what makes this community planting possible!  We'll be planting in the following neighborhoods: Bella Vista, Cascade Highlands, Cascade Southeast, Fisher's Creek, Fisher's Landing East, Lewis & Clark Woods, and Wildwood.

Please arrive by 12:30pm to sign-in and enjoy some lunch snacks and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The planting starts at 12:45pm. We provide gloves, tools, and guidance. We ask that all volunteers dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes/boots you don't mind getting dirty, and be ready to have fun!

How do I register? Click here and fill out the quick registration form. Individuals and groups welcome!  Please know that groups larger than 4-5 people will be split onto multiple planting crews at the event.

Have a pickup truck? We need your help getting these young trees to their planting sites a few blocks away from the central staging site. Please sign up at www.friendsoftrees.org/truck if you're able to help us out in this key role.

Under age 18? A signed youth waiver is required for you to volunteer: www.friendsoftrees.org/youthwaiver We kindly request youth 15 years and younger are accompanied by an adult.

Please contact Jenny, Pablo, and Carey at 503-595-0213 // volunteer@friendsoftrees.org if you have questions or need any further information. We look forward to seeing you out there!
