Ronald McDonald House Guest Services Volunteer- Fayetteville

Open Opportunity

About

The primary responsibility of a Ronald McDonald House guest services volunteer is to assist in providing a "home away from home" for families of hospitalized children. Our volunteers do a little bit of everything, including checking in guest families, baking desserts, restocking rooms, light housekeeping duties, answering phones, assisting with mailings, data entry, and more.

Generally our volunteers commit to a 3 hour shift each week. The House operates with volunteers and staff 24 hours, daily. We are flexible with scheduling.
Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and consent to the completion of a flu shot, TB screening, and drug screening.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you or someone in your household traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days? At this time, these include China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. These may change. See the CDC’s guidelines for the most up-to-date list.
  2. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
  3. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a fever, cough or shortness of breath. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
