The Athens Farmers Market at Bishop Park typically hosts around 45 vendors a weekend, live music, children's activities and cooking demos. All produce is grown locally, sustainably and by those who are selling it to you!
This year, due to Covid-19, many auxiliary activities will be suspended. We will need help making sure that the market stays a safe and clean place for all people. Volunteers will make sure that wash stations are filled with water, buckets are being emptied, that there is adequate soap, that all customers are supplied with face masks, that merchandise is sold, that EBT customers get their tokens in a safe and sanitary manner and that all signs and banners are set up before and taken down after market.
This will be an independently led volunteer shift due to social distancing requirements, we promise to have a plan and clear tasks to accomplish.
