Meal Distribution - 6/1-6/5

Tuesday, June 2nd from 11:00am to Thursday, June 4th, 2020 3:00pm

About

On March 16th, our agency closed the majority of our 14 aging service programs to ensure the health and safety of the vulnerable older adults that we serve. We quickly shifted our focus, priorities and resources into three areas:  food and basic needs, safety checks and virtual social connections.  We have made a commitment to our entire community that no senior will be left behind. YOU are helping us fulfill that commitment.  THANK YOU!!

Our drivers deliver bags of food and frozen, prepared meals to vulnerable residents of our community.  This includes older adults and people with disabilities who are homebound and unable to leave their homes due to health, mobility or transportation issues, are at an increased risk for COVID-19 and need to avoid the grocery store and are unable to utilize on-line delivery and other methods, and/or those who might not be able to afford essential groceries at the moment.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you or someone in your household traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days? At this time, these include China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. These may change. See the CDC’s guidelines for the most up-to-date list.

  2. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  3. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a fever, cough or shortness of breath. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
