CIMA HOSPICE is offering Volunteer opportunities to work with the community, terminally ill patients and their families. Qualified hospice staff members will provide valuable training in end of life issues. The hours are flexible, and evening, daytime and weekend opportunities are available, with both indirect and direct work with patients and families, depending on your interests and availability. Students are also welcome to volunteer.

Indirect work opportunities include:

      • Assist with administrative, clerical and office duties. • Assist with bereavement program. • Assist with bulk mailings and special event preparation. • Assist in outreach programs at area nursing facilities. Direct work opportunities include: • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and families. • Provide respite for caregivers. • Meal preparation for shut-ins. • Assist with home repairs and lawn care. • Provide phone support for patients and family • Help put on events like bingo and arts and crafts!
