Join PSU's Student Community Engagement Center to volunteer your time and energies to help one of our community partners on a "Serve Your City" project!
Help prepare food in the Meals on Wheels kitchen, greet diners as they arrive, participate in activities and anything else that's needed! Please wear long sleeves, pants, closed toes shoes (shirts can be short-sleeved, just no sleeveless shirts).
Meals on Wheels People seeks to enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining independence by making available nutritious food, social contact, and other resources. Over 5,000 meals are served daily to homebound seniors and others at 34 meal sites.
We will meet at the Student Community Engagement Center at 9:50am and travel together to the Meals on Wheels site at NE Killingsworth and MLK. We will return to campus by 2:15 or 2:30.
This project is open to Portland State University students.
