Recycle & Reuse Drop Off Center Volunteers

About

Want a behind-the-scenes look at how the City recycles and/or properly disposes of paint, styrofoam, cardboard, electronics, tires, yard and brush trimmings (for free mulch!), batteries, fertilizer and other household chemicals? Austin Resource Recovery is looking for Zero Waste volunteers to help out at the Recycle & Reuse Drop-off Center (RRDOC).

Learn how the RRDOC facility operates while helping unload vehicles on collection day. No training necessary, and no handling of materials! We simply need help educating folks on the materials they can drop off, and helping direct traffic when they arrive. Austin Resource Recovery will provide Zero Waste volunteers with appropriate safety equipment.

Hi there,

We are canceling all future events as we are back to being fully staffed and our peak season has ended. Thank you to all of those who have helped us out in our time of need. You are all amazing volunteers!

Andy
