About

Our organization, The Courtroom Accountability Project (formerly Policeabuse.com) is a national non-profit organization based out of Florida. Our organization has been providing investigative support to victims of police misconduct for over 25 years. Our Founder, Mr. Diop Kamau aka Don Jackson is a pioneer in the field of police brutality, police misconduct investigative services.

Don Jackson is an American civil rights activist and a retired Los Angeles County police detective who investigates and works to resolve instances of police misconduct, police brutality, racism, and police abuse. He is the man behind filming two of the nation's most pernicious dimensions of policing namely:

  •            bias-based profiling; an
  •        the widespread refusal by the police to properly document serious allegations of abuse and egregious misconduct.

The concept of using hidden cameras was conceptualized by Don Jackson in the early development of hidden camera testing and the recording of public officials. By using cutting-edge computer technology to document police misconduct, Don Jackson documented over 5000 investigations in over 100 cities, often accompanied by volunteers and undercover investigators who were ready to put their lives on the line to test the police.
