Welcome to Portland State University's hub for finding volunteer opportunities with campus and community partners. Powered by GivePulse, this platform makes PSU's motto of “Let Knowledge Serve the City” easily accessible for students, staff, faculty, and community partners. Whether you are looking for a one-time or ongoing service opportunity, GivePulse can help you get connected to meaningful projects.

For Students:
The Student Community Engagement Center (SCEC) is your go-to resource for co-curricular student civic engagement at Portland State University -- in other words, serving in the community outside of your classes! From one-time service projects (working in gardens and parks, sorting donations, sprucing up community spaces, and more) to longer-term opportunities (mentoring elementary school kids, serving weekly at a local community partner, or becoming a Student Leader for Service), get involved in the way that meets your schedule and interests! Visit the Student Community Engagement Center subgroup to learn more about our opportunities. For questions, contact the Student Community Engagement Center: volunteer@pdx.edu or 503.725.6152
In addition to SCEC-sponsored service projects, you can also browse through a variety of other opportunities hosted by our community partners posted here on GivePulse; scroll down this page to find the "Events" list and search based on keyword to find service opportunities that match your interests!
