About
🌸 Join the MAPS Eco-Explorers Pollination Team!
The MAPS Eco-Explorers are a team of student volunteers creating an after-school STEAM (STEM + Art) and gardening program for elementary students in Rockwood.
Each Wednesday, our mentor team visits Alder Elementary School, a dynamic, multilingual, and multicultural community where creativity and resilience are centered.
We cultivate curiosity, creativity, and kindness, empowering children to explore, experiment, and imagine their futures. Activities are communicated in both English and Spanish, fostering an inclusive, welcoming space for learning and play.
The Pollination Team is where new ideas take shape and spread. Through connection, collaboration, and shared purpose, pollinators help shape what grows next. We are looking for pioneer species to build our community. Alongside the after-school program, Eco-Explorers engage in campus-based initiatives that extend this spirit of creativity and community, including:
🌱 College Day on campus and field trips for kindergarteners
🌻 Day of Giving campaigns that support student-led projects
🪴 STEAM community-building activities for PSU students
If you’re drawn to sustainability, education, and collaboration, join us in growing something meaningful together.
